    RIDER HAND SIGNALS-PENTING UNTUK PENGETAHUAN SEMASA KONVOI

    Sebagai panduan kita bersama.


    START ENGINES
    With your right arm extended , move your index finger in a circular motion.


    LEFT TURN

    Raise your left arm horizontal with your elbow fully extended.


    RIGHT TURN

    Raise your left arm horizontal with your elbow bent 90 degrees vertically.


    HAZARD LEFT

    Extend your left arm at a 45 degree angle and point towards the hazard.


    HAZARD RIGHT
    Extend your left arm upward at a 45 degree angle with your elbow bent to 90 degrees and point towards the hazard over your head.


    SPEED UP

    Raise your left arm up and down with your index finger extended upward. This indicates the leader wants to speed up.


    SLOW DOWN

    Extend your arm at a 45 degree angle and move your hand up and down.

    or

    STOP

    Extend your left arm at a 45 degree angle with the palm of your hand facing rearward.


    SINGLE FILE

    Position your left hand over your head with your index finger extended upward.


    STAGGERED FORMATION

    Extend your left arm upward at a 45 degree angle with your index and pinkie finger extended.


    TIGHTEN UP
    Raise your left arm and repeatedly move up and down in a pulling motion.

    secara ringkas...

    1.Apakah peranan paling utama setiap marshall?

    -Ketahanan mental dan fizikal
    -Menjaga keselamatan peserta konvoi dan pengguna jalan raya yg lain.. kedua2nya mesti dititik beratkan.
    -Kelengkapan diri (Ilmu, Pakaian dan lain2..)
    -Mentaklimatkan peserta dan Marshall yg dilantik (bg ketua Marshall..)

    2.Marshall terdiri kepada berapa?

    - Leader
    - Runner
    - Sweeper

    * Runner plak ade 2..

    - satu menjaga barisan
    - satu lagi bersama leader untuk membuka jalan jika diarahkan leader..

    3.Apakah yg boleh dan tidak boleh dilakukan oleh marshall ketika didalam berkonvoi?

    *Boleh..

    -Mengarahkan peserta konvoi agar tidak terputus dari line konvoi..
    -Menghalang kenderaan lain dari memasuki line konvoi
    (sekiranya beliau berdegil, izinkan beliau mendahului konvoi.)
    - Lebih kurang macam pengawas kat sekolah..

    *Xboleh..

    -Melanggar lampu isyarat sesuka hati kecuali mempunyai sebab2 kukuh atau tertentu..
    -Menghalang @ mengganggu pengguna jalan raya yg lain..
    -Berkelakuan ghairah ketika menunggang..
    -Angkuh.. mementingkan diri..
    -Memotong kenderaan lain sesuka hati..

    4.Apakah tujuan marshall diwujudkan?

    -Melancarkan perjalanan konvoi (Lebih bagus jika dibantu Polis Eskot)

    5.Apakah peranan Marshall terhadap ahli konvoi dan sebaliknya?

    *Peranan Marshall terhadap ahli konvoi

    -Menjaga konvoi dan memastikan peserta tidak berkelakuan luar jangkaan..

    *Peranan peserta terhadap Marshall

    -Mematuhi syarat2 yg telah ditetapkan dan arahan yg dikeluarkan oleh marshall.

    7.Apakah tindak balas ahli2 konvoi apabila ketua konvoi memberi isyarat?

    -Menyampaikan isyarat sehingga pengetahuan peserta terakhir dengan jelas..

    GROUP PARKING

    Parking in an orderly method substantially reduces the time for all to get off the road and out of traffic. There is risk of injury for the last bikes that may be blocking the road in an attempt to stay with the group.

    A good way to park, if there is room, is for each bike to pull ahead of the intended parking place and then back up into your spot. You can see how this is done on the image to the right. This can be done very fast because you don't have to wait for the bike ahead of you to finish the job.

    If you find yourself at the end of the group and can't get off the road while waiting for others to park, GO AROUND. Come back a minute or two later when things have settled down and take your time.

    For you bagger drivers, don't forget your pipes. Everything is cool when you back up to the curb until you lean your bike over on the kick stand and you bend and scratch your left pipe on the curb.

    GENERAL GROUP RIDING TIPS




    -Have a full tank before arriving at the departure point.

    -Tell the group leader if you have any special concerns, i.e. speed, sharp corners, etc.

    -Tell the group leader if you plan to leave the group before the destination. Also tell the persons riding in front and behind you so they don't think you are having a problem.

    -When a rider leaves the group while in staggered formation, the best way to compensate for the hole made my his absence is for each rider behind the missing bike to change lanes. Doing this eliminates passing in a single lane.

    -Tell the group leader if your bike has an unusually short fuel range or if your bladder has a short range.

    -It is not unusual to start out on a ride when it is fairly warm and have the temp cool down a lot before getting home.

    -Riders often wear a light jacket because it felt fine at the time of departure and really be freezing after it got dark. This frequently happens on dinner rides.

    -Remember to take some clear eye protection if the ride will extend into the evening.

    -When exiting a expressway, keep up the pace so the riders behind you aren't forced to slow down while still on the expressway and become a traffic hazard.

    MARSHAL

    1. Zero Marshal/ Leader
    2. CONTROL Marshal
    3. SWEEPER
    4. TEAM LEADER Marshal
    5. ASSISTANT TEAM LEADER Marshal
    6. Kenderaan Peserta
    7. BACK MARKER Marshal/Last man
    8. MEDIK Marshal
    9. MEKANIK Marshal

    Zero Marsyal/Leader

    Leader bertanggungjawab keatas keselamatan semua kenderaan konvoi. Leader juga mestilah kerapkali berkomunikasi dengan marsyal2 lain untuk mengetahui situasi keadaan di dalam konvoi. Leader mestikan melaporkan segala situasi traffic kepada marsyal2 lain untuk mengambil langkah seterusnye seperti brek, mengelak dan memberhentikan kenderaan. Leader juga mestilah berwaspada pada setiap masa dan memberikan arahan kepada marsyal2 lain untuk memastikan konvoi bergerak lancer. Mana-mana kenderaan konvoi tidak dibenarkan memotong Leader kecuali diberi arahan sebaliknye.

    Kontrol Marsyal

    Kontrol adalah penolong kepada Leader. Kontrol mestilah mengagihkan semua arahan kepada Marsyal2 lain. Jika Leader tidak berkeupayaan untuk meneruskan tugasan, Kontrol mestilah mengambil alih tugas Leader. Kontrol jugak mestilah melaporkan keadaan trafik kepada semua Marsyal untuk berwaspada serta bersedia untuk memberhentikan kenderaan serta berjaga-jaga.

    Sweeper

    Bilangan kenderaan sweeper bergantung kepada bilangan kenderaan konvoi dan komplesiti perjalanan tersebut. Mereka menerima arahan dari Leader dalam memastikan semua kenderaan konvoi berada dalam keadaan selamat, menandakan persimpangan, memberikan amaran kepada semua kenderaan jika ada kenderaan yang memandu secara merbahaya, menemani konvoi di lampu trafik dan membawa mereka ke dalam barisan konvoi. Adalah menjadi tanggungjawab mereka untuk menemani mana-mana kenderaan konvoi yang mengalami kerosakan atau terlibat dalam kemalangan. Sweeper akan sentiasa memberikan pertolongan kepada Leader dengan memintas mana-mana kenderaan untuk berada dalam posisi yang boleh menghulurkan bantuan kepada Leader bagi memastikan konvoi berjalan lancar. Hanya Sweeper dibenarkan untuk berada dihadapan Leader jika diperlukan. Semua kenderaan konvoi mestilah memberikan kerjasama dengan memberi laluan untuk mereka memintas konvoi demi menjalankan tugas mereka.


    Back marker Marsyal/Last Man

    BM adalah kenderaan yang paling terakhir di dalam sesebuah konvoi. BM tidak dibenarkan sama sekali berada dihadapan mana-mana kenderaan konvoi. BM mesti melaporkan segala activiti yang berlaku di belakang kepada Leader pada setiap masa yang mana kenderaan konvoi telah melepasi lampu traffic, persimpangan atau jika berlaku perpecehan dalam barisan konvoi.

    Ahli konvoi hanya akan menerima arahan dari Leader. Jika pada bila-bila masa TL/ATL tidak boleh di hubungi, kontrol akan di pertanggungjawab keatas mereka dengan arahan dari Leader.

    Meninjau laluan adalah satu kemestian kepada Leader, Kontrol dan Sweeper dalam membuat persediaan sebelum berlangsungnye konvoi.
